MAUI, HAWAII COVID-19 INFORMATION FOR YOUR SAFETY AND PROTECTION

The cleaning of our cottage has always been a top priority. Now, more than ever, it is more important.

Our cleaning team starts out by disinfecting all surfaces in the cottage and including all handles, switches, phones, remote, and anything that can be touched. Our cottage cleaners are thoroughly trained in the latest Covid-19 disinfecting protocol.

We are rotating all linens between guests. Multiple sets including pillows, sheets, blankets, mattress pads, bedspreads are rotated and disinfected between guests.

For your protection and peace of mind, we have added Ozone Disinfection to our cleaning regimen.

Bed pillows are isolated in an ozone chamber between guests. Throw pillows are also ozonated separately.

Ozone is a very strong viruscide (50 times stronger than chlorine), which decomposes quickly into elemental oxygen. It kills bacteria, pathogens, and viruses including Covid-19.

US/CDC lists it as a safe, proven, powerful disinfectant. It explains that it simply adds a third oxygen atom to oxygen(O2) that produces ozone(O3). The added oxygen atom provides a powerful antioxidant that destroys microorganisms, pathogens, and viruses, including Covid-19. It dissipates quickly leaving only oxygen with no toxic emissions or residue.

We provide our guests with disposable masks, which are currently required in all of Maui’s businesses. Also provided will be disinfection wipes & hand sanitizer.

HAWAII THE SAFEST VACATION

Hawaii has a lower number of Covid-19 cases per capita compared to other mainland states. Our government is very serious about protecting its citizens and visitors.

Here’s what you must do to arrive on Maui…

* As of now, travelers to Hawaii 5 and older are required to take a nucleic acid amplification test from a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments-certified laboratory within 72 hours from the final leg of departure. A trained professional must observe all tests.

ONLY TEST RESULTS FROM “TRUSTED TESTING PARNERS” APPROVED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH WILL BE ACCEPTED.

* Trusted testing partners are: AFC Urgent Care, Carbon Health, City Health Urgent Care, Color, CVS Health, Kaiser Permanente (members only), Quest Diagnostics, Vault Health, Walgreens. Registration, instructions, and costs can be found on the partners websites.
